Our esteemed client, a leader in the Medical Devices sector is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to fill the role of Process Development Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new processes that improve production efficiency while maintaining product quality.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Engineering
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with process characterization
and development within medical devices industry
Skills:
Process Characterization - As our ideal candidate, you should have expertise characterizing complex manufacturing problems so they can be resolved efficiently and effectively.
Setting up Lasers - You'll need experience setting up laser equipment used during precision cutting procedures required by many medical device products.
Valves & Tooling - Experience using valves on different machines such as extrusion lines would be beneficial along with tooling knowledge especially those related to injection moulding tools etc.
Bonding/Prototyping/Material Selection - In this position, it's crucial that you possess strong bonding skills which are vital when assembling parts together also prototyping capability would allow us get insight into what works well before full-scale production begins
Responsibilities:
As part of your day-to-day responsibilities include;
* Conduct research aimed at identifying innovative strategies capable of improving established systems
* Develop prototypes from models created through computer design software (CAD)
* Design experiments intended for testing various material combinations designed specifically for use within the field
