Position: Year 6 General Teaching Assistant

Start Date: Immediate (as soon as possible)

Contract: Fixed-Term (Until July 2024)

Tradewind Recruitment is supporting a primary school in Kensington and Chelsea in their search for a dedicated Year 6 General Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment with experienced staff, parents, and students.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Year 6 class across a range of subjects, ensuring students' individual needs are met

Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and activities

Provide targeted support for students in small groups or one-to-one sessions

Assist with classroom management and the preparation of teaching materials

Monitor and track students' progress, offering feedback and support

Contribute to the creation of an inclusive and engaging classroom environmentThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working as a teaching assistant, preferably in a Year 6 classroom

Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Key Stage 2

Experience supporting students across the classroom and in small groups

A passion for helping students achieve their full potential

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
