Teaching Assistant (KS2) - Bargoed

Position: Qualified Teaching Assistant

Location: Bargoed

Start Date: January 6th 2025

Duration: Jul 2025

Pay: £84 - £86 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

About the Role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Bargoed. This role is within a KS2 classroom, assisting with general daily activities and providing targeted support for numeracy and literacy interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons.

Working with small groups or individual students to improve literacy and numeracy skills.

Assisting with classroom management and creating a positive learning environment.

Providing additional support to pupils with diverse learning needs.

Helping prepare resources and maintaining a tidy, organized classroom.Requirements:

Relevant qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

Experience: Previous experience working in a KS2 setting or supporting interventions in literacy and numeracy.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
