Special Projects Programme Manager

£600 per day limited paid via Umbrella Company inside IR35
Our client is looking for an experienced Special Projects Programme Manager.
**Must have the minimum following criteria**
1. 5+ years of planned/capital works surveying experience in housing refurbishment contracts
2. 5+ years management of 8+ technical staff members.
3. Have a strong contract management background in housing refurbishment contracts within a local authority or housing assn.
4. Lead on the management of multiple housing refurbishment contracts/projects ranging from 150k to 25 million.
5. Lead on housing refurbishment contracts procurement.
In this role, you will act as the client representative and perform the “informed client” role on behalf of the Project Owner or SHP Project Board, as appropriate, to pro-actively lead on the delivery of estate-wide property, building refurbishment and retro-fit sustainable projects.
This role will involve leading and delivering a diverse and exciting range of projects typically ranging between £1m and £15m. The successful candidates will be required to meet the needs of varying levels of stakeholders through the life of the project(s) and to report to all interested parties, including project boards, clients and stakeholders.
Some of the responsibilities for this role include:
You will provide leadership of major capital projects across the Sutton Housing Partnership Estate, ensuring that project outcomes and requirements are adequately defined, and that the needs of the users and all other stakeholders, are fully understood and accounted for.
* Establish and communicate the overall budget and timescales for projects.
* Oversee the development of comprehensive Business Cases to the required standards and in accordance with House governance procedures, to obtain funding for the agreed scope of the project.
* Ensure projects are procured in accordance with House guidelines and procedures.
* Oversee the briefing, appointment and management of external consultant teams to enable successful project delivery.
