Primary Teaching Assistant - Cardiff

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

Vision for Education, a Welsh Government-approved agency, is excited to offer an opportunity to join an 'Outstanding' ESTYN-rated primary school in Cardiff as a Teaching Assistant. This is a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, working both 1:1 and in small groups to enhance their learning experience.
• Assist the class teacher with daily tasks and lesson preparation.
• Supervise children during lunch breaks, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.
• Handle administrative tasks to support classroom activities.
• Collaborate with a positive and dynamic team, contributing to the school's ethos and culture.
• Share a genuine passion for delivering the best educational outcomes for children.

What We re Looking For:

• A motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for education.
• An interest in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
• Experience working with children and young people in any setting.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour with a positive and proactive approach.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• A good level of education (GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths) with IT proficiency.
• Welsh-speaking skills (preferred, but not essential).
