Secondary General Cover Teacher / Experienced Cover Supervisor
Location: Sittingbourne, Kent
Contract: Full-Time or Part-Time, Long-Term (January 2025 July 2025)

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Cover Supervisor or Secondary General Cover Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive mixed secondary school in Sittingbourne. This role offers flexible opportunities for both part-time and full-time work, with the potential for a long-term placement starting in January 2025 and continuing until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Confidently deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and secondary key stages.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe, focused, and productive learning environment.
• Motivate and engage students, encouraging them to complete tasks to the best of their abilities.
• Provide support to individual students, addressing diverse learning needs as required.
• Adhere to the school s policies and procedures, including safeguarding practices.
• Report on class engagement, behaviour, and progress to teaching staff.

Requirements:

• Proven experience teaching and managing secondary-level classes across a variety of subjects.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement.
• A clear, enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards supporting students in their learning journey.
• Desirable but not essential: QTS or working towards it.
