Our client is currently seeking a Senior Planning Officer to join their team on a contract basis. This opportunity offers the chance to manage a varied case load, with an initial three-month contract and the potential for extension.

• Managing development management applications from inception to completion
• Conducting thorough reviews and assessments of planning applications
• Engaging with stakeholders, including developers, architects, and local residents
• Preparing detailed reports and presenting findings to committees
• Ensuring compliance with local and national planning policies
• Advising on planning policies and guidelines
• Handling appeals and providing expert advice during planning inquiries
• Collaborating with internal departments to achieve sustainable development goals

• Experience in development management and town planning
• Strong understanding of planning policies and regulations
• Proficiency in handling a wide range of planning applications
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Relevant qualification in town planning or a related field
• Membership of a professional planning body is advantageous
