TeacherActive is delighted to be working with an exceptional special school that inspires their pupils and students every day. This school provides a high standard of education and focuses on primary and secondary students with Autism and provides them with a daily structure and routine to ensure the best learning environment for their individual needs.

The school is looking for a determined day to day Secondary Teacher with the potential of a permanent position. The successful Secondary Teacher will be confident and adaptable in working from Key Stage 3 / KS3 to Key Stage 4 / KS4 helping them to meet their milestones and giving them 1 to 1 support and tuition. The applicant would also have to be well equipped to deal with challenging behaviours and work closely with Teachers to support the classroom.

The successful Secondary Teacher will have the following:

• QTS, ECTs are welcome to apply!
• Experience working with ASD
• A calm, patient, and caring personality
• A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
• Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
• Excellent classroom management
