Job Description Systems Administrator I THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSTION GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II (MTCCS II) program. GDIT delivers individual sustainment through collective Mission Command training, Leadership Training / Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, First Person Simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations supported training. Technical integration between simulation and C4I systems. Establish /maintain training and exercise networks. Accomplish Risk Management Framework Certification and Accreditation security and risk management activities. HOW AN SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR I (C4ISR) WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Monitor and maintain the health and performance of systems.
Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
Deploy, configure and troubleshoot network devices (to include cabling) for exercises, training events and/or special projects
Configure and optimize systems to meet operational requirements
Integrate various components and systems in a LVC environment
Collaborate with other branches to ensure system compatibility and interoperability
Implement and manage security policies and configurations
Maintain documentation for system configurations and changes

Provides input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials Prepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress, and presents results to management and/or customer personnel Serves as a customer interface to resolve problems and ensure requirements are met on a timely basis
Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced system administrator
May serve as a technical team or task leader Follows DoD Directives and Instructions 8140, 8570-01-M, Army regulations AR 25-2, NIST Special Publications 800-53, 800-39, as well as following guidance from other cyber agencies in CSPMO, and NETCOM Participates in special projects as required WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: BA/BS (in computer science, information systems, engineering, systems administration or related field with concentration in computer-based technology); or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training
Required Experience: 3+ years of related experience; Military and MTC experience preferred
Required Technical Skills: Technical expertise in systems and related technologies; Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security practices; Experienced in configuring and maintaining networking hardware/software systems to include routers, switches and firewalls; Understanding of database management systems (DBMS) and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
Security Clearance Level: SECRET clearance is required
Required Skills and Abilities: Superb communication skills; strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms on systems; Ability to document and report on technical issues and solutions; Ability to resolve complex technical issues
