Job Description

Were seeking a skilled and dedicated Site Supervisor - Buildings to join their team on a contract basis. This role focuses on liaising with project stakeholders, supervising site operations, and ensuring compliance with the works information in the building sector.

• Undertaking site visits to carry out the scope of works as per the agreed frequency and duration.
• Ensuring installation activities are in compliance with works information, with any changes approved by the client.
• Understanding and assisting in establishing further works information as needed.
• Providing written reports to the client regarding contractor compliance with works information.
• Issuing communications in line with NEC3/4 contract requirements and replying within specified periods.
• Reviewing proposed changes to works information for compliance and reporting these to the client.
• Assisting in resolving on-site queries to ensure effective and professional work progression.
• Marking equipment, plant, and materials outside working areas for payment purposes.
• Ensuring quality plans are observed and quality audits are conducted as scheduled, addressing non-conformities.
• Coordinating defect identification and inspection procedures.
• Instructing the contractor to search for defects with project manager approval and providing reasons for searches.
• Notifying contractors and clients of defects found before the defects date.
• Monitoring defect correction during post-completion inspections and reporting progress to the client.
• Examining record drawings from the contractor and advising on compliance with works information.
• Taking regular progress photographs and producing monthly reports detailing progress and actions.
• Maintaining detailed site diaries recording all plant, materials, and labour utilised by the contractor.
• Reviewing operation and maintenance manuals, providing comments, and issuing final approvals.
• Assisting the project team in post-construction reviews and preparing findings reports for the client.

• Experience in supervising building site operations.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3/4 contract communications.
• Ability to provide detailed written reports and maintain comprehensive site diaries.
• Experience in coordinating and managing quality plans and defect procedures.
• Proficiency in reviewing and approving operation and maintenance manuals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with various stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
