Job Description

My client a specialists M+E sub-contractor is working on this new build section of works at Bournemouth hospital and the team is looking to recruit a mechanical supervisor to work with the PM and 2 other M+E supervisors on the project

As the M&E Supervisor you will be overseeing progress of M&E installation works on-site, ensuring quality control, compliance and safety regulations. Working closely with the M&E project management team to ensure the projects are completed to required contractual schedule and standards.

As the M&E Supervisor you will have the following responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and support to M&E site teams to ensure high standards of work.
• Inspect and assess installations throughout the project and upon completion.
• Liaise with project managers to address any issues ensuring smooth project execution.
• Hold toolbox talks with the labour team.
• Maintain close working relationships with sub-contractors and internal teams.

Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:

• Valid CSCS Card / SSSTS.
• Time Served Apprentice or relevant Mechanical / Electrical qualifications.
• Experience of supervising M&E teams on projects up to 2m.
• Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of mechanical and electrical systems and their installation methods.
• Good people management and motivational skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.
• The ability to plan, co-ordinate and prioritise workloads.
