PMO Specialist

• Office-based in Southampton x2 days per week
• £375 to £400 per day (Inside-IR35)
• 6 month contract

The Opportunity:

We are currently looking for a contract PMO to work in a fast paced systems engineering, product environment delivering complex projects to client specifications.

You will take a lead role in the production and coordination of technical documentation, as well as the review and verification of key contractual requirements across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing, controlling, and reporting on project deliverables, creating and coordinating key documents and documenting project management plans in an engineering, systems, manufacturing environment.

You will play a pivotal role in creating comprehensive documents to address key contractual elements, collaborating with internal subject matter experts, overseas development teams and end clients when necessary.

Developing project plans is also a key part of this role, to ensure timely delivery of all contractual obligations and that key milestones are met.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in a PMO or similar role within a systems, engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Experience in creating and managing technical documents such as test plans, user guides, technical documentation, and progress reports.
• Demonstrated ability to manage internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all parties are informed, aligned, and on track with documentation and project tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint for document management.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience in presenting to clients and senior management.
• Ability to plan, control and report on project progress, with a strong eye for detail and an ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, etc.) is desirable.
