Data Engineer (Contract)

Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for extension)

Location: Chester or Bromley (3 days per week on site)

Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella day rate is available for suitable candidates

Role Profile

We are currently seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our client's team in the investment banking industry. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading the technical architecture design for our client's Corporate Mobile platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data solutions using the Cloudera platform
• Solve complex problems with an emphasis on product development
• Create and work with data architectures
• Coordinate and communicate effectively across teams
• Stay updated with new technologies and techniques
• Utilise AutoSys for workflow automation
• Utilise distributed data/computing tools such as Hadoop, Hive, and MySQL

Skills & Requirements:

• Extensive experience with distributed data/computing tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A drive to learn and master new technologies
• Experience with Cloudera's platform
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Prior experience working with AutoSys
• Proficient in using pyspark, ezflow, and other methods for data movement in a Hadoop environment
