Academics are working with a Mainstream Secondary School based in Stratford Newham, who are in need of an SEN Site Lead Teacher for their ASD Provision

This is a teaching role with added repsonsibilities. You will be planning and delivering lessons to KS3/4 Students with the Learning Developmental age of KS1 Students - whilst coordinating a team of SEN TA's effectively to enhance the teaching and drive up engagement

This ASD Provision is very well run, and the biggest in Newham, with just under 80 SEN students with Complex Needs and Learning Difficulties relating to Autism

Roles and responsibilities of an SEN Teacher:

Teach SEN students effectively with Learning Difficulties in mind

Engage, inspire, and support SEN students in their learning journey

Collaborate with colleagues to enhance learning environment

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environmentRequirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching SEN General Studies up to KS4/KS5 Level

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively within a team
