Reeson education are currently searching for a PMLD Teaching Assistant to work within SEN School in Portsmouth.

What will be your role as a Teaching Assistant within the classroom?

• As a Teaching Assistant you will be working closely with parents and reporting back on pupils' progress
• Teaching Assistant will prepare the classroom ready for the school day
• The Teaching Assistant will be working with children on a 1:1 basis as well as in small groups
• As a Teaching Assistant you may be required to provide personal care
• The right Teaching Assistant will be observing children's behaviour

I am currently looking for PMLD Teaching Assistant's for an immediate start. We are looking for charismatic individuals with fantastic interpersonal skills to work with children with profound and multiple learning difficulties.

What does PMLD mean?

Children with PMLD will have more than one disability, this could mean they may have trouble with the following: communication, hearing and visual impairments, physical disabilities, and mental health difficulties. Many individuals with profound multiple learning difficulties rely on different ways to communicate this maybe through such as PECS and Makaton.
