A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in an SEND/ Special Educational Needs and Disabilities school in the Hucknall area.

Do you hold a Level 3 NVQ certificate in Children s Learning and Development or equivalent? Are you confident supporting pupils across all years (ages 4 -16)? Do you work well independently and as part of a team?

The school is seeking to appoint a strong, experienced qualified Teaching Assistant to support children across the school on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. The school is for children with special education needs including autism and complex behavioural needs.

The role will include:

• Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
• Work with pupils on a one-to one basis
• Leading group work
• Helping the class teacher with pupil observations

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour is essential
• Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others
• A patient and resilient attitude, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
