Casual - Class 1 Night Trunk Driver

The position of Class 1 Night Trunk Driver involves:

• This will involve trunking from South Molton to Birmingham, reloading and returning to South Molton.
• Hours are based 'as and when required'. This is to help cover sickness, holidays and peak periods.
• You may also be required to cover internal trunking.
• Loading/unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security.
• Completing daily vehicle checks on your company phone.
• Working closely with the network hubs.
• Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customer's expectations.
• Attending regular training sessions.

Essential skills required for Class 1 Night Trunk Driver:

• Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence with at least 6 months experience.
• Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Working to deadlines.
• Confident, polite and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.
