Contract Maintenance Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical - Multi-Skilled)

We are seeking an experienced Contract Maintenance Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical - Multi-Skilled) to join our manufacturing team. Based in the Northamptonshire/Bedfordshire/Milton Keynes area, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment, carrying out preventative maintenance (PPMs), and attending to breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of production machinery and equipment.

Attend to mechanical and electrical breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing faults promptly.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical components.

Conduct inspections, repairs, and modifications on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine reliability and uptime.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical).

Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.

Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, ideally with automated machinery.

Excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility to work different shifts as required.

Contract Details:

Duration: Ongoing contract, with the potential for extension.

IR35: Role can be engaged either inside or outside IR35

Location: Northamptonshire/Bedfordshire/Milton Keynes/ Peterborough area - some travel may be required.
