Position: Locum Clinical Pharmacist
Location: NHS Hospital, Leicester
Band: 7

Hourly Rates: £28 to £31 per hour
Agency: Hunter AHP

This position is on an ongoing basis, with 3/4/5 days per week availability. Previous wards experience is required.

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Locum Clinical Pharmacist to join a dynamic NHS hospital in Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced clinical setting while gaining invaluable experience with a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert clinical pharmacy services across multiple wards.
• Perform medication reviews, ensuring safe, effective, and cost-effective use of medicines.
• Offer professional advice to medical staff on drug prescriptions and therapeutic regimens.
• Oversee the safe and appropriate use of medicines in the hospital.
• Participate in clinical ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Provide education and training to hospital staff on pharmacy-related matters.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience working in NHS hospital wards.
• Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge, particularly in a hospital setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and care.

Desirable:

• Experience in the Band 7 role within a clinical hospital setting.
