Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: South Sheffield primary school

Contract Type: Full-Time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a friendly and supportive primary school in a South Sheffield suburb. This full-time role involves covering PPA time across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, delivering engaging lessons planned by the teaching staff, and leading booster sessions in core subjects for children who need extra support.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-planned lessons to classes from Year 1 to Year 6 during PPA cover.

Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning.

Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils to foster engagement and progress.

Lead booster sessions to help children working below expected progress in core subjects.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A Level 4 TA/HLTA qualification or equivalent.

Experience working with children in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with staff and pupils.

A positive, proactive, and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning.
