The Role
As a Dual Registered Midwife/Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in our small but highly skilled team, delivering compassionate, patient-centered care across both nursing and midwifery disciplines. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, ensuring the highest standards of safety and wellbeing.
* Deliver nursing care in both hospital and community settings.
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored healthcare solutions.
* Assist with emergency procedures, including Medevac operations when required.
* Educate and support patients and their families, promoting health and wellness.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development initiatives.
The Package
* A base salary of £35,274 - £43,564 (Depending on experience and qualifications) plus enhancements for unsocial hours and on-call.
* A market supplement to salary of £13,000 to £15,000 per year (reviewable annually)
* A gratuity (lump sum payment) on completion of the contract term equivalent to 25% of the total base salary value of the contract.
* A relocation allowance to help with moving costs.
* Free flights for the employee and dependants at the beginning and end of the contract plus additional annual return flights after the first year.
* Paid leave of 41 days comprising 30 days of annual leave and 11 days of public/government holidays.
* Good quality furnished accommodation at reasonable rental rates.

* Dual registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
* Experience in midwifery and general nursing.

* A flexible and proactive approach to problem-solving.
Health & Social Services Department
The Health and Social Services Department is one of the Directorates of the Falkland Islands Government (FIG) which offers a range of fulfilling job opportunities across the full spectrum of public services.
