Graduates (Teaching Assistants/Cover Supervisors)
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £94 to £115 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: ASAP/February 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are offering exciting opportunities for fresh graduates to work as Teaching Assistants or Cover Supervisors in schools across Sheffield.

What you ll have to do:

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Provide one-to-one or small group support to students to help them meet their learning goals.
• Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, following lesson plans provided.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Support students with varying abilities, including those with additional needs.
• Assist with classroom management and maintain a safe and productive environment.
• Help prepare classroom materials and resources as required.
• Encourage students to develop confidence, independence, and a love for learning.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure effective lesson delivery.
• Participate in extracurricular activities or school events where needed.

Requirements that we are looking for:

• A degree in any subject (preferably Education, Psychology, or related fields), recently graduated is a must.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Enthusiasm for working with young people and supporting their development.
• Adaptability to work in different school settings and year groups.
• Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential).
• A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education or working with students.
