Role Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students’ learning across various subjects. You will assist in creating a positive learning environment and help students, particularly those with additional needs, to overcome challenges and thrive academically.

Key Responsibilities:

Support teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who need extra help

Assist students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring their individual needs are met

Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

Help with the preparation of learning materials and resources

Monitor students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers

Support students’ social and emotional development

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about working with young people. The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with young people (desirable)

A strong understanding of child safeguarding policies

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The ability to work well as part of a team

A flexible and proactive approach

Qualifications:

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (essential)

Additional qualifications in education or child development are desirable but not essential
