Food Technician

Location: Tattershall
Start Date: January 2025
End Date: July 2025
Salary: £85 - £95 per day
Job Type: Part-Time (Mondays and Tuesdays)

Are you passionate about food and have experience in food preparation? GSL Education Lincolnshire is looking for a Food Technician to join a fantastic school in Tattershall. This part-time role is perfect for individuals with a strong background in food handling and organization, who are eager to support students and teachers in a dynamic learning environment.

The Role:

As a Food Technician, you will:

• Assist in the preparation of food practical lessons by weighing and organizing ingredients.
• Ensure classrooms are fully equipped and prepared for food technology lessons.
• Provide hands-on support to teachers during lessons, maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.
• Uphold health and safety standards, ensuring all equipment and tools are clean, safe, and ready for use.
• Manage stock levels for food supplies and equipment, ordering items as necessary.

What We Are Looking For:

• Strong food preparation and organizational skills.
• A keen eye for detail and an understanding of hygiene and safety standards.
• The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting classroom activities.
• While school experience is not essential, prior experience in a kitchen, catering, or food handling environment is highly desirable.
