Property Services Manager

The role:

• Are you ready to play a crucial role in shaping the future of property services within a Local Council? We are looking for an exceptional Property Services Manager to take the lead in strategically managing and delivering the commercial property portfolio. This is an opportunity for a visionary professional with a strong background in Building Surveying, a strategic mindset, and exemplary leadership skills.
• In this role, you will lead a dedicated team of professionals (Team of 5), driving the effective management, maintenance, and development of our Council's commercial properties.
• Your leadership will ensure regulatory compliance and the delivery of outstanding services to both internal and external stakeholders.
• You will lead on the management and delivery of a capital/planned investment programme for the council's property portfolio
• You will be instrumental in maintaining an affordable, efficient, and well-managed estate that meets the needs of our community.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Degree level qualification in Building Surveying or CIOB Building
• Membership of the related professional institute - RIBA, RICS or CIOB
• Knowledge of compliance and health and safety in procurement and construction.
• Experience in the preparation of drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities, schedules of rates, types of agreements, and tendering contracts.
• Knowledge of building legislation including Planning, Building Regulations, CDM, Party Wall Act as well as extensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
• IT proficiency including CAD
