Position: Animal Management Lecturer

Salary: £30-£37 per hour + 12.07% holiday pay (lesson time only)
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Animal Management Lecturer to join the team at one of the leading colleges in Birkenhead on a full-time basis. This role involves teaching a mix of Level 1 and Level 2 Animal Management courses, with the possibility of some Level 3 teaching. A blend of practical and theoretical teaching will form the core of your responsibilities, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for students.
As this is a full-time role, you will also take on
programme management responsibilities for the Level 2 Animal Management course.
Key Responsibilities - Teach 24 hours per week across Level 1 and Level 2 Animal Management courses (possibly some Level 3).
- Deliver engaging lessons combining practical and theoretical content.
- Oversee and manage the Level 2 Animal Management programme, including planning, coordination, and student progress monitoring.
- Support learners to achieve their full potential through high-quality teaching and tailored support.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessments.
What do you need? - A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
- A relevant degree (e.g., BA Hons, BSc) in Animal Management or a related field.
- Experience delivering engaging and effective lessons in Animal Management or similar subjects.
- Strong organisational and communication skills to manage programme responsibilities.
- Availability to start as soon as possible.
