Job Description

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to consult on a major central government project that will see you involved with the ongoing quality assurance for the delivery of a range of innovative solutions being developed that are focused on digital-twin technology.

Ideally candidates will be familiar with the Government Digital Services (GDS / GOV-UK) platform and have demonstrable experience consulting with the required technologies detailed below.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

* Performance Testing: JMeter, BlazeMeter

* Cross-device Testing: BrowserStack

* Programming Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript

* BDD: Cucumber/Gherkin

* Accessibility: WAVE, pa11y

* Security: OWASP ZAP / Dependency Check

* Browser Test Automation: Cypress, Selenium

* Browser Developer Tools: Lighthouse, JavaScript debug console

* API Testing: Knowledge of RESTful APIs and proficiency in using tools like Postman or Newman to validate data integrity

* Version Control: Strong knowledge of Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab for version control and collaboration

Desirable:

* GOV-UK Design System: Familiarity working with the GOV-UK Design System and assuring compliance with design patterns

* CI/CD: Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines for executing automated tests
