Job Description:
Are you a Teaching Assistant (TA) looking to branch into Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you have an interest in special education needs, or personal experience with SEND? If so, we want to hear from you! We welcome applications from both qualified and unqualified TAs who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the learning and development of children with special educational needs.
• Assisting teachers in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of SEN students.
• Providing one-on-one or small group support to students.
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
• Proactively engaging in daily tasks and activities.
• Managing and responding to a variety of behavioural challenges with patience and empathy.

Requirements:

• CACHE/NVQ Level 2 qualification or higher in a relevant field (preferred but not essential).
• Experience working with SEN children in special schools or mainstream settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to engage in all aspects of school life.
• Resilience and the ability to handle behavioural challenges positively.
