SEN Teaching Assistant

Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, ambitious SEN Teacher needed to join an SEN School located in Tottenham to work on a short term basis on Monday & Tuesdays starting ASAP until March 2024 (Possibility to be extended)

The school is a welcoming and inclusive school focused on supporting students with PMLD needs.

What You’ll Be Doing in the Role:

* Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN.

* Create and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students.

* Monitor and assess students’ progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary.

* Provide support for students with a variety of SEN, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and learning disabilities.

* Collaborate with teaching assistants, support staff, and the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to deliver targeted support.

* Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and progress.

* Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure students’ needs are being met.

* Take part in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

About You:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* Experience working as a SEN Teacher, ideally within a primary or secondary school setting.

* A solid understanding of a range of SEN and strategies to support students.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Passionate about providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
