Job Title: Press Brake Operator

Location: Sheffield

Salary: 14.37ph

Shifts: Mornings and Afters

Metalis are currently in partnership with a well-established engineering company in Sheffield. Our client is looking to hire a skilled Press Brake Operator on a 12-week temporary to permanent basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the daily setup and operation of computer-controlled press brakes to perform one or more machine functions on steel products.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Producing parts without the need for supervision and dimensionally check to drawing and adjust programmes.
• Proficient in all the onsite press brake machinery.
• Capable of working to deadlines and see tasks through to completion in a timely manner.

Person Specification:

• Apprentice trained or time served experience in the press brake industry.
• Ability to work well as a team member.
• Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
• Position requires the ability to operate precision measuring devices such as callipers, square, micrometres, protractors, and tape measures.

Salary and Shifts:

• 14.37ph
• 12 weeks temporary to permanent role.
• Mornings are Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm.
• Afters are Monday to Thursday 2pm -11pm, and Friday 2pm - 6pm.
