We are seeking a Fabrication and Welding Lecturer for a temporary contract, hourly paid basis, to teach students the essential skills and techniques required in fabrication and welding. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, guiding students through their learning journey, and ensuring they develop the skills needed for a successful career in the industry. An enhanced DBS check is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and effective lessons in fabrication and welding techniques.
* Plan and prepare course materials, including practical workshops and theoretical lessons.
* Teach students the necessary skills, safety procedures, and industry best practices in fabrication and welding.
* Monitor students’ progress and provide support to ensure they are developing their skills.
* Foster a positive and safe learning environment where students can thrive.
* Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching methods and course content.
* Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols in the workshop environment.
Requirements:
* Relevant teaching qualifications (such as PTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent) are essential.
* Significant practical industry experience in fabrication and welding.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* A passion for teaching and mentoring students to help them achieve their potential.
* Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in fabrication and welding.
* An enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
