Project Manager Job Specification
Position: Project Manager
Location: London
Project: North Quay Infrastructure – Deep Drainage and Utility Works
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all aspects of project management, ensuring the timely completion of drainage infrastructure, utility networks, and associated civil works.
* Create, manage, and monitor detailed project programs to ensure efficient sequencing of works, adherence to deadlines, and alignment with stakeholder expectations.
* Coordinate site operations, including liaison with trade contractors and adherence to phasing requirements.
* Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, including Building Safety Act 2022 requirements.
* Develop and implement detailed construction methodologies.
* Liaise with stakeholders such as Thames Water, DLR, and local authorities for approvals and inspections.
* Manage quality assurance, including inspection records, testing, and commissioning of completed works.
* Prepare and submit progress reports, risk assessments, and program updates.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in deep drainage and utility works.
* Demonstrable expertise in program creation and management, ensuring project milestones are met efficiently and effectively.
* Strong understanding of statutory and environmental regulations.
* Competency in design coordination and adherence to detailed construction drawings and specifications.
* Excellent communication skills for liaising with contractors, designers, and regulatory bodies.
* Familiarity with advanced construction software and electronic task management systems (e.g., ASite, Dome Connect).
* Ability to manage complex logistics, including storage constraints and craneage.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
* Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
* Accreditation in relevant safety standards (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) advantageous.
Desirable Attributes:
* Experience working in mixed-use development projects.
* Knowledge of DLR engineering and Thames Water vibration standards.
* Strong leadership and team management skills to ensure high standards of work
