Civils Site Manager – District Heating

My client, a specialist Civil Engineering contractor are currently looking to recruit an experienced Civils Site Manager to join their team on a long-term freelance basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in an interesting, long term project to improve the city’s infrastructure.

Sector – District Heating

Scope of works – Trench work & Service Installation. 20km of Pipework to be installed.

Position – Civils Site Manager

Location – Exeter

Duration – 4 years

Engagement - CIS Umbrella

Duties

* Reporting to a visiting Contracts Manager

* Site inductions & toolbox talks

* Writing & updating daily records & RAMS

* Liaise with client and any consultants engaged in the project

* Managing health & safety on site

* Ordering plant & materials for site

* Supervise and monitor the progress and quality of work produced by site labour force and sub-contractors

* Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.

* Introduce improvements and innovation where possible.

Your profile

* 3 years+ experience managing Civil Infrastructure projects

* Prior experience delivering District Heating projects would be advantageous

* If no specific District Heating experience, Water / Drainage experience is essential

Qualifications

* Formal qualification preferred – e.g. HND in construction related discipline ideal

* Temporary Works trained (TWC / TWS ideal)

* NRSWA (ideal)

* SMSTS /

* First Aid

* CSCS
