Job Title: HSE Manager

Location: Ghent, Belgium

Day Rate: €650–€660 (All-In)

Start Date: ASAP (must start by 23rd January 2025 at the latest)

Languages Required: Dutch-speaking preferred (not mandatory)

Role Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive HSE Manager for a high-profile construction project within the manufacturing sector in Ghent, Belgium. You will oversee health and safety on-site, ensuring compliance with regulations, driving safety initiatives, and fostering a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental plans tailored to the construction and manufacturing sectors.

* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and client safety standards.

* Oversee contractor safety management, including permit-to-work systems and risk assessments.

* Monitor site activities to identify hazards, conduct inspections, and enforce corrective measures.

* Lead incident investigations, provide detailed reporting, and implement preventive actions.

* Promote and embed a proactive safety culture through engagement and leadership.

Requirements:

* Proven experience in HSE management for construction projects within the manufacturing sector.

* Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

* Excellent communication and leadership skills.

* Ability to work independently and drive safety improvements.

* Dutch-speaking preferred but not mandatory.
