James Stevens Associates are delighted to be working with a Public Sector Organisation in Essex that are now looking for a Data Analyst

* Data Analyst

* Salary: £35,745

* Contract: 6 month rolling x1

* Day Rate: £210 a day

What you will be doing

* Partner closely with stakeholders to deliver in-depth, actionable insights.

* Conduct advanced analyses on large datasets.

* Make data-driven recommendations to improve products, processes, and services.

* Maintain a high standard of data quality.

* Create insightful and impactful dashboards and reports using Pentana and other systems.

* Report bugs and support functional signoffs.

* Conduct advanced data analysis on large datasets.

* Partner closely with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.

* Make data-driven recommendations to improve products, processes, and services.

* Stay updated on new tools, technologies, and methodologies.

What’s essential

* A degree with Experience as a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst or a similar role.

* Strong experience in MySQL for querying, managing, and optimising databases.

* Ensure high standard of data quality for all data used in operations or analysis.

* Manage existing and create new data pipelines.

* Support the evolution and development of business intelligence.

* Strong communication skills to share insights and collaborate with the wider team to support business objectives.

* Experienced in using statistical methods to enhance data analysis and interpretation.

* Experience with server-side scripting languages like PHP or Python.

* Experience with supporting and mentoring others.

* Ability to analyse data and provide operational and strategic insight.

Hours:

* Full-time, Monday to Friday

* Hybrid working if WFH is suitable. Min 2 days on site option to work 5 days is available
