Job Title: Health & Safety Manager – Waste to Energy Projects
Location: Glasgow, UK
Salary: Circa £500 Per day (Contract)
Job Description:
Our client is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team for a long-term Waste to Energy Project in Glasgow, Scotland. This role offers an ongoing contract ensuring health and safety compliance throughout the project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing site safety and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and enforce health and safety protocols on-site, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Conduct risk assessments, health and safety audits, and maintain safety records.
Lead safety briefings and training sessions to ensure all staff are fully aware of health and safety procedures.
Respond to incidents and ensure all health and safety issues are addressed promptly.
Collaborate with project managers and team leaders to create a safe working environment.
Ensure all safety practices comply with relevant national and international health and safety laws.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
NEBOSH certification (CIMOSH preferred but not essential).
Experience in process plants or waste-to-energy projects.
Knowledge of waste-to-energy industry standards and safety practices (Desirable).
Proven experience in managing health and safety on large-scale construction or industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of UK health and safety regulations.
Ability to work with diverse international teams.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Benefits Package:
Circa £500 Per day, with potential for higher rates for travel/working away.
Long-term contract opportunity.
Monday to Friday working schedule with occasional weekend work.
