Job Title: Data Entry Clerk/Junior Data Analyst
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Contract Duration: 9 Months (Maternity Cover)
Salary: £23,000 - £32,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Office-Based
Company Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk/Junior Data Analyst to join our team for a 9-month maternity cover contract for a well-established civil engineering company based in Welwyn Garden City, specialising in delivering innovative infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the data analysis field, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.
Job Responsibilities:
·Data Entry: Accurately input and maintain large volumes of data into the company's databases and systems, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
·Data Analysis: Assist in analysing data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights to support decision-making and project management.
·Reporting: Generate reports and summaries from data analysis to support the team, with a focus on providing actionable insights.
·Data Quality Control: Ensure that all data is correctly formatted and free of errors by reviewing and validating data entries.
·Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining documentation for data processes and procedures to ensure consistency across the team.
·Team Support: Work closely with the project management and engineering teams to provide data-driven insights, and assist with ad-hoc data-related tasks as needed.
·Collaboration: Liaise with various departments to collect necessary data and contribute to ongoing projects.
Key Skills & Experience:
·Data Entry & Analysis: Previous experience in data entry or data analysis roles is preferred, but not essential.
·Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in large data sets.
·Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other data management tools. Experience with data analysis software
·Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
·Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaborating with team members.
·Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and proactively resolve issues related to data management.
