4myschools are looking for a Year 1 Teacher to cover a maternity cover at a popular shcool based in Chelmsford, Essex.

Are you a dedicated and adaptable primary teacher looking for flexible work in the Chelmsford area? We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join our team on an ongoing basis, starting February the 3rd. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers looking to make a positive impact and experience a new school on a fixed maternity contract.

About the Role:

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will take on full classroom responsibilities such as planning, parents evening's, and report writing. The ideal candidate will have experience with phonics / RWI.

Responsibilities as a Year 1 Teacher:

* Deliver high-quality lessons

* Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment

* Support students' learning and development, ensuring all pupils meet their potential

* Provide continuity and consistency for students

* Liaise with teaching staff to ensure smooth transitions and clear communication regarding lesson plans

* Maintain a high standard of teaching practice and adhere to the school's policies and procedures

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

* Experience teaching in KS1

* Strong understanding of the primary curriculum

* Excellent communication, classroom management, and organisational skills

* Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different teaching environments

* Passion for working with children and helping them succeed
