Network Security Engineer

Westminster / Hybrid

£650+ Per Day

Yolk Recruitment are currently hiring for an SC CLEARED Network Security Engineer to support our client with a critical digital transformation on an initial 6 month contract with likely extension.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and resolve network faults, implementing preventative measures and advising on improvements.

Perform regular system upgrades, network maintenance, and monitoring.

Ensure network rooms are safe, secure, and compliant, liaising with Facilities Management and Security teams.

Administer and maintain firewalls, with a primary focus on Fortinet solutions.

Serve as the main contact for network infrastructure support requests and projects.

Procure and manage network services and equipment effectively.

Mentor and guide team members to build technical capabilities and foster team growth.

Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve system performance, security, and reliability.

Participate in on-call support rotations, ensuring 24/7 operational coverage.

Key Skills / Experience Required:

Firewalls and Security: Fortinet (primary focus), Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Networks, Juniper SRX, and F5 BIG-IP.

Networking: Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, and Meraki; Juniper switches and routers.

Load Balancers: F5 BIG-IP and Fortinet solutions.

Network Monitoring Tools: SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar platforms.

Protocols and Standards: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VPN, and QoS.

You must hold Live Transferable Security Clearance to be considered for this role
