Platform Engineer – (Platform, AWS. Terraform, CI/CD, Jenkins, MYSQL, Aurora, Infrastructure As Code, IaC, Migration, GitLab, PostgreSQL, RDS) – Contract – Watford/Hybrid

Charles Simon Associates are working with a well known National business who are looking for a Platform Engineer on an initial 6 month contract based out of Watford with some hybrid working.

This role is inside IR35 and will be onsite 2 days per week, home based the rest.

Location: Watford/Home Based

Rate: Up to £650 per day D.O.E

Length: 6 months initial, possible extension

Skills/Requirements for the Platform Engineer:

* Previous experience working within similar roles

* Strong Terraform experience

* Familiarity with CICD practices

* Extensive AWS experience

* Previous migration experience

* Infrastructure As Code (IaC)

* Jenkins or GitLab experience

* MYSQL and/or PostgreSQL experience

* AWS Aurora experience

* Amazon RDS experience

Start date is ASAP for the Platform Engineer

The Platform Engineer will be responsible for:

* Running multiple migration projects within the business’s different areas

* Maintaining and improving the existing secure developer platform

* Working with the product teams to help delivery automation, tooling and cloud infrastructure

* Contributing to the Cloud team standards, identifying and implementing improvements to processes, tools, and standards

* Creating and testing IaC (Infrastructure as Code) using Terraform

* Communicating with various stakeholders within the business, to confirm deadlines are being met
