Job Title: Functional Skills Tutor (Maths & English)

Pay Rate: £26.62 per hour (+ P&P)

Location: Online/Virtual

Hours: Flexible (Full-time or Part-time)

Start Date: Immediate

We are looking for a passionate and qualified Functional Skills Tutor to deliver online English and Maths lessons. This flexible role allows you to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic success while working around your schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide engaging one-on-one online tutoring for Maths and English Functional Skills.

Develop tailored lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum.

Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to enhance learning.

Foster a supportive online learning environment.

Communicate with parents/guardians to share progress and address concerns.

Maintain records of tutoring sessions and student achievements. 

Qualifications and Skills:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.

Experience tutoring Maths and English, particularly Functional Skills or GCSE-level.

Strong subject knowledge and online teaching expertise.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, empathy, and a commitment to student success.

Familiarity with online teaching platforms and tools.
