Do you want to help those who have been through some of the most traumatic experiences?

We are working with an incredible charity, in the Neath / Port Talbot area, who do just that....provide support, advice and guidance.

There's a full and part time post available.

What are the basics?

A fixed term contract until 31st March 2025.

Full time hours - 35 per week for full time / 22.5 hours for part time.

Salary of up to £23,500 for full time (pro rata for part time).

Covering the Neath, Port Talbot, Ammanford and Carmarthenshire area.

9:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

Travel expenses paid at 45p per mile.

You'll be part of a therapeutic support project for survivors of sexual violence.

Deliver a trauma informed, strengths based service to those who are vulnerable.

Provide individualised, specialist support.

Facilitate one to one and group support.

Work with other organisations and services (multi-agency working).

Attend meetings, to represent the individual and the organisation.

Make and take referrals to the service.

Manage a caseload and keep detailed records.What do we need?

A support worker with experience of supporting those who have experienced sexual violence and abuse.

Experience of working with other teams, services and organisations (SARC, ISVA, Substance Support, GP's etc.).

Knowledge of the impact of sexual violence on individuals.

Someone with a non-judgemental, supportive and compassionate approach.

Experience of supporting people through crisis situations.

Good IT skills (for report writing, communication and record keeping).

Ability to travel around the area - need a drivers licence and own vehicle.

A DBS on the update service or willing to complete a new DBS check.
