We are seeking a full-time English Teacher to join our school in Forest Gate on a one-year fixed-term maternity cover contract. Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in English Language and Literature, ensuring alignment with the GCSE syllabus.

Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted feedback to support improvement.

Create an inclusive and positive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Manage classroom behavior effectively, fostering a respectful and productive atmosphere.

Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to curriculum development.

Requirements:

Strong knowledge of English Literature and Language, with experience teaching the GCSE curriculum.

Proven ability to deliver well-prepared, dynamic lessons that cater to a range of student abilities.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) is preferred.

A proactive, collaborative approach and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching.
