About the Role:

As a Senior Field Service Technician, you will play a key role in providing technical support and services for high-tech machines and instruments across the diamond value chain. This is a hands-on role with both remote and on-site responsibilities, where you'll:

🔧 Service & Support:

• Provide both remote and on-site support to customers, diagnosing and resolving technical issues with advanced electro-mechanical systems.

• Install new equipment, provide training, and upgrade modules or instruments as necessary.

• Perform preventative maintenance and technical audits at customer sites.

⚙️ Testing & Repairs:

• Test and repair electro-mechanical modules, components, and instruments, ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance.

• Perform upgrades to hardware or software and ensure seamless service operations.

🔄 Prototype & Production Assembly:

• Produce prototype PCBs, wiring looms, and harnesses.

• Build, test, and commission finished production machines according to design documentation.

🌍 Travel & Logistics:

• Expect up to 30% travel to customer sites globally, with the ability to respond to short-notice travel requirements due to equipment failures.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who is:

✔️ Technically proficient with experience in testing, servicing, and assembling electro-mechanical systems.

✔️ Customer-focused, with strong service and communication skills.

✔️ Problem-solver with a structured approach to fault diagnosis and repairs.

✔️ Skilled in using manual test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, meters, and analyzers.

✔️ Experienced in creating technical documentation and procedures.

✔️ A team player, working effectively in collaboration with colleagues and customers alike.

🎓 Ideally, you’ll have:

• ONC/HNC in electronics, systems, or control.

• Experience in a Test and Service environment.

• Familiarity with computer programming fundamentals.
