Job Description

An opportunity has come available for a Mechanical Engineer to provide a service on a contract basis to a leading M&E principal contractor. To be considered for this assignment you will need to come from a strong Mechanical background ideally covering design Grip stages 3-5. Although this role wont involve carrying out hands on mechanical designs you will be reviewing and carrying out the assurance paperwork so a technical understanding on systems including HVAC is a must.

This position will require the successful candidate to be based out of West London site offices with some flexibility of 1-2 days working remotely. The contract is a 6 month + contract with the project set to close out in 2026.

The role and responsibilities include the following: Review of Design House Stage 4 design documents

Review of Design House Stage 4 design documents

Review deliverables for compliance against standards and raise any issues to the design team.

Provide support throughout the production of the Stage 5 design.

Support maintenance of the bracketry strategy.

Support maintenance of design risk registers and production of reports.

Provide technical liaison, co-ordination, and communication between sub-contractors.

F2F Interfacing with the sub-contractors.

Attend design review co-ordination meetings with sub-contractors.

completeness including planning, accessibility, constructability, and maintainability.

Review subcontractor documents i.e. design deliverables and MCR documents.

Review and respond to subcontractor.
