Environmental Advisor required for a major offshore wind developer based in Poland
Responsibilities
Creation and monitoring of the Project Environmental Management Plan, Waste Management Plan, Aspect and Impact Register and similar environmental management plans,
Monthly and annual internal and statutory environmental reporting, including the waste management and emissions to the environment,
Create and deliver specific environmental trainings for the Project personnel,
Ensure that environmental risk controls and processes are implemented and are effective and report on improvement opportunities.
Deliver monthly E reporting to Project QHSE Director as well as Statutory Site Manager when relevant.
Continually enhance environmental awareness across the project.
Where required, be the focal point of contact for Local Authorities and other key stakeholders in relation to environmental matters on the project.
Timely and accurate submission of all legally binding environmental reports and data to authorities.
Ensuring formal and legal compliance of all aspects of the project's environmental management system with applicable regulations.
Overseeing Contractors actions and behaviours on sites when it comes to environmental aspects resulting from obtained permits, legal requirements and prepared for project documentation.
General overseeing of archaeological aspect on site
Act as an environmental protection specialist responsible for development and application of a rapid response procedure in emergency situations (e.g. contamination of sea waters with oil substances from transformers and vessels) at the offshore wind farm and training of persons participating in rescue of animals in contact with oil-contaminated waters.Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience in environmental management on complex, international, large-scale construction projects at sites,
Acting as environmental advisor/manager/expert on minimum 2 constructions sites, ideally where HDD or other subsurface drilling method was used
Degree or similar within Polish environmental science, either through a Polish education or an education recognized as equivalent by the Polish authorities.
Industry recognised environmental qualifications (e.g., IEMA),
Have strong management skills, are experienced in working across multiple teams and implementing environmental management systems,
Excellent stakeholder management skills, working with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally,
Excellent communication skills, ability to speak, present and write Polish and English fluently, another European language is an advantage,
Knowing and understanding the Polish environmental legislation, e.g., waste management and emissions reporting requirements,
Practise knowledge of KOBiZE and BDO data bases
Valid GWO BST training,
OEUK Medical Certificate,
Valid and active driving license
