Locum Social Worker - Safeguarding - Preston UK - £36 Hourly - Ongoing

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Locum Social Worker to join the Safeguarding team in Preston. Specialising in Family Safeguarding, this ongoing position offers flexible working arrangements and competitive hourly rates at £36. This role uniquely covers the areas of Chorley and South Ribble, and invites candidates with at least three years' experience in a similar field. Start date is targeted for the end of January.

What you will do:

• Provide statutory social work services to children and families within safeguarding, focusing on creating safe and supportive environments
• Conduct assessments, formulate care plans, and review cases to ensure the welfare of children and young people
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to provide comprehensive support
• Manage a caseload effectively, employing a strength-based approach to offer the best possible outcomes for children
• Engage regularly with families in Chorley and South Ribble, offering support and guidance as their situations evolve
• Maintain meticulous records and ensure all documentation complies with statutory requirements
