About the Role: SEN Teaching Assistant:
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN-TA) to work in a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Islington. This is a rewarding full-time, long-term opportunity where you’ll play a key role in supporting children with ASD across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
As an SEN-TA, you will provide tailored support to meet the individual needs of pupils, helping them to achieve their full potential. Your role will include working closely with class teachers, specialists, and parents, ensuring a cohesive and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities as an SEN TA:
• Provide one-on-one and group support for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailor activities to meet individual needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure cohesive support for pupils.
• Assist in managing challenging behaviors and promoting emotional well-being.
Application Requirements: SEN Teaching Assistant:
• Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other SEN needs.
• A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach.• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable but not essential.
• A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
