Job Description

I am looking for an experienced Interim Building Surveyor for my Local Authority client, to look at response and repairs across commercial and community and operational assets, to help out with the management and development of building projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake surveys, inspections, and assessments of council properties
• Understand the severity of the issue and which trade to delegate to for repairs
• Post inspection checks
• Drawing up small project schedule of works
• Provide technical advice on building maintenance and improvements
• Ensure projects adhere to relevant standards, regulations, and budget constraints
• Assist with managing contractors and liaising with stakeholders

Requirements:

• HNC Building degree
• RICS accredited, MCIOB or equivalent qualification (Not essential)
• Proven experience in building surveying, preferably within the public sector
• Strong knowledge of building regulations, compliance and health & safety
