TeacherActive is proud to be working with a prrimary school in Swanseaa and they are looking to appoint a full time, temporary Foundation Phase teaching assistant to cover a maternity leave as soon as possible. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 6 months experience supporting primary age children ideally in an Additional Learning Needs environment. The ideal candidate needs to be enthusiastic and committed team player who is willing to give their best to ensure each child is supported and encouraged to achieve. The Head Teacher is looking for a positive role model who demonstrates high standards of professionalism at all times.

This Primary School is located in the east of Swansea and caters for pupils aged three to eleven they currently have 14 classes with over 350 full time pupils and approximately 60 part time nursery pupils. The school building is a modern, purpose built facility, situated in the heart of the city centre

TeacherActive are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate who:

• Will have relevant experience of working with children (minimum of 6 months)
• Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
• Has experience of supporting Additional Learning Needs pupils
• Has experience of following Individual Education Plans (IEP s)
• Will be required to work under the direction of the class teacher and liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school
